Texas Sen. Ted Cruz kept attacking his rival Donald Trump after they faced off onstage at CNN's Republican presidential debate on Thursday night.

In an extended interview on Fox News, Cruz went after the Republican frontrunner.

"I think that what became very clear is that Donald Trump is not the right candidate to go head-to-head with Hillary Clinton in November," Cruz said. "That on policy issue after policy issue, his position is identical to Hillary."

Cruz cast Trump's policies as in line with those of "liberal Democrats." Trump has previously called himself a Democrat before running for the Republican presidential nomination.

During the same Fox interview, Cruz then hit Trump with a flurry of additional attacks: ...

It’s easier to fight a guy who isn’t there.

Cruz had time to plan his strategy and he chose to go after Trump. Now we will see whether his strategy helped him.

Translation:

Exaggerated whining reported as torches.

Everyone on that stage would make a better president than Donald Trump. Cruz is just stating the obvious...unless of course you are a Trumpbot who wouldn’t change your vote even if Trump murdered somebody on the street right in front of you in cold blood.

The two of them combined along with the biased moderators were an absolute embarrassment to themselves last night. The real evidence that Trump crushed them will be seen next Tuesday, even then the true believers here will be claiming that master debater and sore loser Cruz actually won.

Cruz has some powerful ads running now in Oklahoma. Trump put out some literature on himself about his Tulsa visit,

Trump has some real cognitive problems:

OKLAHOMA CITY - Donald Trump's campaign is having a hard time with spelling the names of Oklahoma's largest cities correctly. Earlier in the campaign Trump's staff misspelled Tulsa as "Tusla" on its credentials given to media.

AND:

A Facebook photo advertising his Friday rally in Oklahoma City said this: "Stand with Trump Oaklahoma City, OK 02.26.16."

“Ted wins his post debate interview!”

Which translates into no votes.

What the hell is winning a post debate interview?

CONSTANT lies of omission from Ted. He’s fooling less and less people with them.

Lie of omission;

“Also known as a continuing misrepresentation, a lie by omission occurs when an important fact is left out in order to foster a misconception. Lying by omission includes failures to correct pre-existing misconceptions.”

“That on policy issue after policy issue, his position is identical to Hillary.”

Such hyperbolic exaggeration is ludicrous and will not wash with voters.

This is the kind of statement that makes people think Ted is just another politician.

Hillary would not repeal Obamacare.
Hillary would not enforce immigration laws, much less secure the southern border.
Hillary does not support fiscal responsibility.
Hillary does not support the 2nd amendment.
Hillary proposes higher taxes.
Hillary supports unfettered access to abortion.
And on and on and on.

It seems Roe is shifting strategy. Ted was positioned as the candidate of the core base. Now, suddenly, he is pushing to the front a message that he can beat Hillary when no one else can. I don’t mind a Hail Mary, he SHOULD be trying to win. But when he goes over the top like this, he sounds like the politicians he’s supposed to hate.

"That on policy issue after policy issue, his position is identical to Hillary."

Stopped right there.

I know Cruz is an intelligent man so I can't imagine he actually believes what he is saying.

That leaves one other observation, I'll refrain from naming it though.

Just remember, the democrat politicians kept all of their promises to their voters.

It’s the Republican politicians that promise one thing and then turn around and do the exact opposite. We have been lied to time and time again by our Republican politicians. I no longer trust them.

It’s time to realize that the democrat and Republican politicians are against us.

It’s time for a non-politician. GO TRUMP!

It Trump ends up lying to us, at least it will be someone new.

Teddy Bear should just keep reading Dr. Seuss books. Then I would have an easier time listening to him. I like Cat in the Hat. He reminded me of a gotcha lawyer last night. I hate lawyers in general. Bill and Hillary are good lawyers who parse every word as well.

If Cruz is the nominee I will vote for him, but it looks like I’m going to have to hold my nose to vote this year either way.

The only substantive comments by Trump last night were about shutting down EPA and Dept of Ed. I forget his exact words, something like “cut the hell out of them”. “Education has to be local”. “EPA is out of control”. The rest of his schtick I’ve heard before.
