Cincinatus’ Wife, set the personal animus aside and we’ll all hold hands and walk towards the light. I’m sure we’ll get burned a few times; after all, he IS brash, annoying, rude, irritating, and downright mean at times. He’s not as conservative as Ted but he’ll be beholden to no one but us. It’ll be okay. Better than okay if you consider the alternative — a dem for a few years, then another revolutionary war where a lot of people die. Bubba will not let them take the guns, and if a dem wins, that’s where they’re going. Deep down inside, you know it.

Why would Bill Clinton tell that to Donald Trump, knowing that his wife would be running for the nomination under the Democratic Party banner and against the GOP nominee?
Because Bill would say anything to keep Trump from running as a Democrat against Hillary. He knew that Trump would easily beat Hillary whereas with someone like Bernie Sanders, she has a chance.

About the university thing,... i think it’s commendable that he’s gone all these years w/o settling. Do you know how easy it is to just pay people so they’ll leave you alone? But he believes in principles and according to what i read, the people suing had already signed evaluations in the 90 percentile range, at least until the lawyers came knocking on they doors. “Hey, you want to get your money back?”

I think his whole digression into Celebrity Apprentice was a well calculated move. He could see how Clinton and his saxaphone and TV appearances gave him national recognition, and decided to do that 5 time better with his own show.

I’m familiar with all of Donald Trump’s arguments, his “really big show” diversions, his “squirrel” tactics, his unprincipled, flexible positions - and his hundreds of lawsuits.
I get it that you and other Trump fans, frantically spinning 24-7 to clean up after Trump, must make this “personal” and about me, but it just won’t fly.

Okay, that's not TOO far away from the time when I was voting for some actor because the other guy had big front teeth and I dreaded the thought of looking at them all the time. Plus, he was a peanut farmer. Ugh.
Most people who are busy with life, especially workaholics like him, don't pay much attention to world affairs. I hate to say it, but i bet he didn't know who the good guys and bad guys were at the time but didn't want to admit it. (I'm lazy. Did he say this in response to a public question? If so, he doesn't like looking bad, so he would've bluffed his way through the answer rather than just admit he didn't know who the PRC was. It's probably related to that strange genetic tendency that makes men refuse to ask for directions. ;-)
BUT, i'm not making excuses because you do have a valid point about the commie comment. I'd just have to read it first to make a judgment on that one.
One thing that kept me coming back to him while i was learning more about him was his kids. They're all well-adjusted. They had to start working as teenagers, the boys doing dirty construction jobs. They were already wealthy, but yet he made it clear to all of them that nothing in life comes free or easy. And the kids have all said that when they were growing up, no matter WHO their Dad was with or how important it was, their Dad would always take their calls and make everyone in the room wait, even world leaders. Just a bunch of little stuff like that... it all adds up, the more and more you learn.
I'm glad no one was following me around with a camera 27 years ago recording all my ignorant comments. lol.
Yes he has now, but as always, Trump wanted it both ways on the Sunday shows; Trump’s supporters are left scrambling, on a daily basis, to know what his newest positions are.
The man is certainly flexible, and so are his supporters.
You’ve quoted the clinton discussion twice already in this thread. The first time you quoted it, it was to bolster your claim that we should fear Trump’s leftist ideology.
However, there’s nothing in the clinton discussion that even remotely touches upon Trump having a Leftist ideology.
