Obama won Arkansas. As far as I know, those are the only two closed primaries they have had so far.
Then we definitely have to have an election where only registered republicans are allowed to vote in November. That’s the only way Cruz can win in November. Trump, OTOH, can and will appeal to crossover voters, I don’t think Cruz has much appeal beyond republicans.

What does that tell you, moderate democrats, whites who are the minority of the democrat party don’t want Hillary, so they will go for a left wing liberal in Donald Trump. Democrats picking our nominee again.
In every state Trump has won he won the majority of Republican voters. Cruz seems to do very well in caucuses, not so well in actual primary elections outside of TX. I give him credit for having a good organization and dedicated followers, but he hasn’t yet demonstrated mass appeal.
Self correction, that should be a plurality. More than the others, not a majority.
