A 96-year-old Laguna Woods man has been charged with molesting two girls, ages 10 and 11, authorities said Monday.
Kenneth Leroy Collins is scheduled to be arraigned on Friday on four felony counts of lewd or lascivious act with a minor under 14, according to court records.

Obviously, this man needs a private room, where he would have no contact with any underaged visitors to his facility.
Someone else might say he ‘has a right to expression’. Yes, but not with minors or inappropriately.

There is a form of Altzheimer’s disease that is manifested by inapropriate sexual behavior. My father, now 99 years old, was kicked out of three assisted living facilities because he kept trying to have sex with the ladies and caretakers there. We finally had to bring him home to live with us. That was even worse. He kept bothering my neighbors, daughter, grand daughters, and even me. Our Doctor finally diagnosed him, put him on a female hormone patch and put him in a nursing home. It was a blessing. and he is behaving himself now, but I don’t think he will live much longer. Sad to watch it.
It’s painful to watch his deteriation.
With Viagra, he’d be just another hardened criminal.

1. Did this man have dementia? If so, he is not responsible for his actions. Period.
2. If he did have dementia, the person/place responsible for him should do the time. It is important to understand the brain. If the brain is in the process of being destroyed, the person doesn’t know right from wrong and has no control of his actions. These molestations may be the fault of someone who didn’t keep this man in an appropriate environment.
3. Too many elders affected by Alzheimer’s are not properly supervised because there is no one to watch them during working hours. We need to change this as a society. Caregivers are dying off like flies from the stress of caring for their loved one with dementia. And clearly, people with dementia need to be as supervised as a 4 year old. 24/7.
4. Of course, if he was sound and sane, throw the book at him.
