Paglia on Cruz and Trump...
Trump with his pragmatic real-life record is a far more palatable national figure than Ted Cruz, whose unctuous, vainglorious professions of Christian piety dont pass the smell test. Trump is a blunt, no-crap mensch, while Cruz is a ham actor, doling out fake compassion like chopped liver. Cruzs lugubrious, weirdly womanish face, with its prim, tight smile and mawkishly appealing puppy-dog eyebrows, is like a waxen mask, always on the verge of melting. This guy doesnt know who the hell he isand the White House is no place for him and us to find out.

Moxie was the worst drink ever created in the history of man.
I can still remember the last time I tasted it——in the early 1940s.
Yuk !

You, too can get Moxie at Galco's Old World Market in Highland Park, Calif., a neighborhood in Northeast LA.

If by Moxie, she means an ability to get people to believe bombastic promises beats constitutional conservatism, then yes.

Camille is a smart woman. Insult her if you must, but it just shows your idiocy.

I have heard so much about 'constitutional conservatism' that the phrase has no longer a meaning. I have watched politics for 50 years and I have yet to see any constitutional conservatism.
I have seen people who claim to be conservative, but in practice they haven't acted that way when they gained office.
Standing up in front of an empty Senate chamber and touting faux conservatism isn't being conservative.
With words there needs to be action to make the words have meaning. Otherwise those words are nothing more than methane coming out of another body orafice.

I prefer Cruz as a rational planner. I want him for VP or Executive Adviser, and I tell you...if Trump wins it, hes going to be smart enough to hire the best to do the things he knows he needs help with. But you scared Canada-bound Liberals, you trembling intellectuals, you East-Coast socialists and West-Coast celebrities, you entrenched Republican elites and soon-to-be-indicted Democrats...its coming back. Moxie. Great post...
