No, by siding with far left radical groups like MOveon.org, Black Lives Matter and such prominent luminaries as George Soros and Bill Ayers. Cruz would RATHER side with them then calling them out for using violent methods to disrupt a political rally put on by Trump.
His ambition to be President was first and foremost in his mind. He refused to name and condemn the leftists responsible and essentially laid it at the feet of Donald Trump.
