Won't happen. Trump likes chicks; and he's married to a world-class hottie with brains.
Rove might have better luck with Linda Grahamnesty or perhaps some down-ticket Dems.
Oh, wait. You meant a "job" as in "formal employment".
It is not going to become a two man race
Ted Cruz blew his opportunity to win when he ignored the South because he thought he had that in the bag. Donald came and conquered.
Trump is on track to win. Cruz is not
Trump knows this and is quite capable of changing his tone when the situation calls for it. We've seen that in the last two rounds of victory night speeches.
Trump's still in the primary... and he needs to fight back against his own party who's trying to keep him from getting nominated. Toning it down now won't help... he will do that later. Rove still wants him to lose the nomination... I don't trust Rove one bit when it comes to Trump.
Karl is useless. His advice lost the popular vote in 2000 and nearly cost the telection. 2004 was not all that impressive. Since then he has been a loser. just plain miserable
So why did Rove participate in the secret meeting of GOP elites with Dem mega donors on an island, where the main topic was how to stop Trump.
The winner-take-all states. Trump can take all of them. And most of the states coming up.
AZ
NJ
WI (Trump up 10% in last poll and not reported here)
CT
DE
MD
IN
SD
MT
NY very good chance Trump all 95 delegates.
WV Trump was up big in their last poll(s)
CA Trump also up big in the latest poll
Yes Trump still has very good chance of getting to 1237 despite the obstruction.
this story is just made up.
................
lets review the numbers
Trump has 670/680 delegates or so.
there are 846 bound delegates, yet to be chosen.
magic number is 1237.
or not, please correct any errors, thanks
Rove jockeying to change sides? He may be part of the establishment, but he is, after all, a consultant, not a donor. If you look at the Uniparty as being a collection of rich donors, consultants, establishment politicians, and sympathetic media, Rove is part of the consultant class. When it comes down to it, Rove is an employee. The rich donors are his employers, and establishment politicians are his customers. Maybe Rove sees the handwriting on the wall, thinks his bosses might get left out if the cold in Trump wins, and so is trying to stay relevant if that happens.
Uh, thanks for the advice, Benedict Arnold.
The fivethirtyeight blog (Nate Silver, I believe) has the current assigned delegate count at 691, or 10 to 20 more than your source. (This may be due to winning Congressional District based delegate assignments from Missouri’s Tuesday election.)
It puts Trump at 96% of where he theoretically should be at this point in the race. All other candidates are far, far away from their targets.
I figured Rove to be in the Bush camp with Cruz, but this may be a sign the Bush Machine is not interested in Ted after all, and prefers to leave him twisting in the wind, as they join up with the Brokering forces to parachute in Paul Ryan, or even...Yeb.
How many will still claim that Cruz is humble while Trump is an egotist?????
