Skip to comments. The GOP must stop Trump (more garbage from the globe)

DONALD J. TRUMPS VISION for the future of our nation is as deeply disturbing as it is profoundly un-American.
It is easy to find historical antecedents. The rise of demagogic strongmen is an all too common phenomenon on our small planet. And what marks each of those dark episodes is a failure to fathom where a leaders vision leads, to carry rhetoric to its logical conclusion. The satirical front page of this section attempts to do just that, to envision what America looks like with Trump in the White House.
It is an exercise in taking a man at his word. And his vision of America promises to be as appalling in real life as it is in black and white on the page. It is a vision that demands an active and engaged opposition. It requires an opposition as focused on denying Trump the White House as the candidate is flippant and reckless about securing it.
After Wisconsin, the odds have shrunk that Trump will arrive in Cleveland with the requisite 1,237 delegates needed to win the nomination outright. Yet if hes denied that nomination for falling short of the required delegates, Trump has warned, Youd have riots. I think youd have riots. Indeed, who knows what Trumps fervent backers are capable of if emboldened by the defeat of their strongman at the hands of the hated party elite.

Obama neets most of the criteria for a “demagogic strongman.”
Wow, the democrats are really scared of Cruz.
At last! A lamestream outlet is finally going to expose the obama regime, its tactics and its duplicity! /sarc (and a big Rosannadanna "never mind").
How about this?
The first time trump calls for whites to beat on blacks or Hispanics, uses racial slurs when referring to them, or calls for muslims to be beaten in the street, i’ll stop supporting him.
Since he has done NOTHING of the sort, I’ll be voting for him in NY.
“Indeed, who knows what Trumps fervent backers are capable of if emboldened by the defeat of their strongman at the hands of the hated party elite.”
That’s an accurate statement, especially the “hated party elite” part.
The Boston fish wrap still going strong, I see.
Here’s their bottom line, to nobody’s surprise:
“The Republican Party’s standard deserves to be hoisted by an honorable and decent man, like Romney or Ryan, elected on the convention floor. It is better to lose with principle than to accept a dangerous deal from a demagogue.”
None at all! But now we will be subjected to other fifth-column leftist print- and network-media whores reporting about it as if it were real news, along with all of the other fake news they excrete.
2016 is shaping up to be a contest between a GOP candidate chosen by the grassroots despite the efforts of the party elites versus a Democrat candidate chosen by the party elites despite the efforts of the grassroots.
They did in Colorado;
Colorado GOP elites are #nevertrump
And don’t forget that anyone that supports Trump is an A-dub, hateful, racist, mysoginist(sp), homophobe, kkk lovin’, flyin’ purple people eater too. Or something and no form of derisive remarks will be nasty enough to condemn them. Right? Oh, and he kicks kittens and puppys too.
Fish deserve better than that.
More hand wringing and pearl clutching from our globalist betters. It’s getting shrill out there. Guess they’ve seen the polls out of NY.
Not good enough for a fish wrap better as the bottom liner of a cat litter box!
Yeah, wouldn’t it be horrible if we elected Trump and retained the rule of law and our country.......
The Boston GLobe (read, New York Times)
did this because THEY FEAR Mr. Trump.
Mr. Trump has the best chance of winning.
Cruzbanos tell me Trump will lose all 50 states so why is the globe so worried?
The Ministry Of Propaganda is really doing their best to dissuade us from electing anyone who would stop the Cheap Labor Express.
