I buy all the rounds for our clays charity shoot. Each shooter lights off 100 rounds each.

Sounds to me like the guy would be legal. Kept the firearm out of the passenger compartment. But also not just leaving it out in the open in his pickup bed. Maybe they have a law saying that the ammo and firearm need to be stored separately?
