The nations biggest health insurer has decided to stop selling coverage on public insurance exchanges in two states for next year, but consumers shouldnt take this as an early warning that a mass exodus is brewing from a key element of the Affordable Care Acts coverage expansion.
Analysts say these exchanges may be improving for insurers after a difficult start. However, they also expect insurers to continue leaving some unprofitable markets as the coverage expansion heads toward its fourth year.
UnitedHealth Group Inc. said it will not sell coverage on exchanges in Arkansas and Georgia for 2017, and it is continuing to evaluate its presence in other markets after reporting steep losses from the still-developing business.

Oh noes! Of course not!
Who are you going to believe? Us, or your own lying eyes?
> expect insurers to continue leaving some unprofitable markets
But... but...
Ah, and some have not yet realized the depth to which the AP has inserted its head into adorkbama the Muslim’s .....
Oops...an “a” somehow magically appeared in front of the exclusively descriptive name of Dorkbama the Muslim.
hey, we’re entirely too busy committing suicide in the primaries to worry about this right now. we don’t even care who has control of congress when the thing totally collapses, and is then either finally put to death, or rebuilt as an even bigger piece of tyranny, because we’re totally focused on cutting our noses off to spit our faces.
we’ve got our priorities straight, dammit.
Obonzo and his commie ‘RATS were right, ObonzoCare is “wildly popular”. I heard my first story this last weekend from a real victim of ObamaCare. He was complaining about the costs of ObonzoCare. It wasn’t just some post or article that I read. It was real people that I know. Unfortunately, they didn’t vote for Obonzo either time but got caught in his trap anyway. Obonzo can kiss my ass on Main St. and I’ll give him 15 minutes to draw a crowd. All the future Clinton voters can line up right behind him.
BTW: Didn’t that Kenyan SOB say we were all going to get $2500 bucks to “put in our pockets”. What did the lying bastard do, keep it for himself? I haven’t seen no 2500 bucks!
People hurt financially by ObamaCare have to retaliate financially against the people who voted for it; I’ve cut back my discretionary spending so much I’m surprised the cafeteria at work and the fast food places haven’t shut down...
McDonald’s did have to retool it’s menu last year.
I agree. ObonzoCare is on the skids right now. What the heck is going to happen when the Kenyan puts all of his illegal alien “refugee” invaders on ObamaCare. This country is finished.
Don’t worry Trump will give us free healthcare that business will pay for.
I am an Obamacare Certified Application Counselor and it’s a total cluster.
If you are single and make $12,699 or less annually, you don’t qualify for premium assistance. The cheapest policy available is about $500 and that’s for one person with a $5,000 deductible and another $6000 in out of pocket expenses. A lot of people who want coverage cant afford it because of Obamacare.
Tsk-tsk - guess we’ll have to go a government pays all system to clean this mess up - ten years sooner than Obama predicted.....
Obviously you’re not in an Expanded Medicaid state.
No we are not.
Gotta be profitable.
CEO Helmsley needs another 36.30% raise. Who can live on just $58,650,074?
You’re right, but the country was finished before a single “refugee” signs up; it was finished when everything else provided for our trafficked underclass (housing, food, public schools) was billed to the taxpayers.
“but consumers shouldnt take this as an early warning that a mass exodus is brewing from a key element of the Affordable Care Acts coverage”
Tom, you ignorant slut. Ode to Dan Akroyed
