I’m a teacher in Los Angeles now, and before this I was a grad student in one of the most leftwing departments at my university. What I’ve discovered in both places is that liberals are afraid to go after a bold, unapologetic conservative. They go after any weak, wishy-washy type that seems sort of indeterminate and eager to please. That’s their natural target. If they try any crap with a conservative who comes right back at them (like I tend to do) they back right down.
