Rush’s theme today—stupid Trumpists. Cruz’s dad essentially called Trump the antiChrist and Trump lashed back with an absurd remark of his own—about Cruz’s dad. I just cannot believe what’s happened to Rush.

I listen to Laura in the mornings before Rush.

Unfortunately, my options from 11-2 CT is Rush, Dennis Prager or Alex Jones.

Instead I usually tune in to the local talk station which usually ignores national politics/.

I hardly listened to Laura before because I tuned into our local guy Michael Berry, but when he went bat s- crazy for Cruz (insulting Trump voters in the most vile way), I turned to Laura and appreciated how fair she was in discussing the issues of all candidates. She mentioned a month or so ago that Cruz refused to appear on her show but most of the others had. Apparently Cruz couldn’t take her intelligent questioning. She does go into parenting issues which don’t apply to me, but I find her political analysis much better than Rush. I checked out of 3 shows for good (Rush, Levin and local Michael Berry) but found Laura and some other local guys like Chris Salsado and Joe Pags. So it paid off for me to turn the dial. Laura will now be my first choice in her time slot.

I’m convinced that Rush (who is a smart guy) has seen the future and picked his spot as the “loyal opposition” to President Trump. Well he can’t very well come out on Trump’s side now can he? And there’s no market for a “yes man”, so he’s got little choice but to be the “Voice of the Anti-Trump Movement” going forward, starting right now.

The National Review and Levin will follow this path too, I think. Beck will simply fail. His deep pockets supporters have already abandoned him and frankly, he has no redeeming qualities, other than as a public spectacle, like a sideshow freak.

Rush may decided it’s time to retire or he may just continue to be marginalized on smaller stations in the major markets, allowing someone like Laura who can be objective and fair-minded to rise to fill the void at the top.

I've been listening to Laura for about 3 weeks now. She has been very enjoyable to listen to during that time. I listened to her every day until about 8 years ago, drifted away. Now, I'm glad to be back, she is showing me why I like her back then. She obviously likes Cruz, but she also likes Trump and was working very hard to get them to work together. I think she is wrong about Cruz, but she is fair to both and that is way better than Rush. She is clearly not part of the establishment cabal.

The only things I don't like are when she has guys on from National Review and places like that, and she lets them spew nonstop. I tune that out.

I used to listen to Laura every morning until the local station kicked her off for Glenn Beck, then sort of gave up on listening to anything in that time slot due to work issues.

As for Rush, I had stopped listening to him some time ago, then returned to tuning him in on occasion late last year, and had gradually gotten back into the habit until one day he made crap out of a pleasant lady caller who was a Trump supporter. He wasn't witty, he wasn't informative, he wasn't entertaining, and he wasn't gently reproving... he was just being a jerk, and when that tone didn't go away, I did.
