Does Anyone Know Why A Portion of Savage's Show Was Repeated Today
Self | May 4, 2016 | Stayfree

Posted on 05/04/2016 3:46:46 PM PDT by Stayfree

All or part of the 3rd hour of Michael Savage's show was a word-for-word repeat of the beginning of his first hour. Did something happen to him or his ability to broadcast live that caused this. I haven't been able to find anything about it online.

Don’t know, but Hannity also left the 3rd hour. Hmmm...

I have noticed for months that sometimes (like day after day) the last half hour is a repeat of the first half hour. The show is delayed here and I’ve always assumed it was some quirk in the delay system.

I think it’s a glitch with the satellite. Once or twice listening to Rush or other programs, a sentence or two will be repeated, verbatim of what you’d just heard. I’ve never heard an entire half-hour segment repeated, however.

That used to happen all the time when he was on here (NC).

I figure it’s intentional.

Normally, all or part of Savage’s 3rd hour is a repeat of all or part of his 1st hour. This is common and been going on for years. He has only been doing a live 3rd hour because of the primary elections.

I think it’s because he only wants to do 2 hours AND because many of his stations do not carry the last hour.

Maybe it’s censorship, a stealth on-the-fly sort of censorship.

That has been happening on the Savage show for many years.

I stopped listening to him along time ago, he is like a stuck record, most of the time he is selling his books and bragging about how original or how smart he is.
Some of his message is very good but very poor delivery.

Roughly 6 mos/a year ago this happened 2-4 days a week, it was standard procedure for him. Kind of pissed me off. I have noticed it happening a lot less of late. It’s my belief, I have no way of knowing, but if he gets PO’ed or falls out of the mood, he will repeat hour #1 whenever the heck he feels like it.

In the DC area (WMAL 630 AM), only the first two hours of the Savage Show are broadcast eventhough he has a 3rd hour in other broadcast areas.

The 3rd hour is given over to a local DC host (usually Larry O’Connor, who is very, very good) who covers the DC area scandals as well as national news.

I haven’t listened to Savage in years (he’s too bi-polar) but he used to do that a lot. It’s because he’s lazy and he runs out of ideas and the desire to finish his show so he repeats an hour.

This is a combination of first-hand and third-hand information:
I noted a couple of years ago that Savage rarely did all three hours live; the final half or whole hour especially was usually a reprise - often from a previous telecast (which I recognized as such).
I suspected it was dictated by his health, his hunger, his canine - whatever. He brags about how grueling it is to do three hours live, yet he so often does not do so.
A couple of months ago, I read a post on another forum by someone who purported to know someone in broadcasting, someone who told the poster that Savage was infamous in broadcasting circles for throwing tantrums and storming out of the studio, leaving it to his oft-maligned engineers to supply air-worthy material without warning.
Given that I perceive him as an egomaniacal misanthrope who does not play well with others, I can believe it.
I listen to him because he is - when you factor in his enormous egotism - on some level honest about his positions, and not a creature of the establishment like Limbaugh, Hannity, Beck, and Levin. Nevertheless, it is hard to do so, when he takes personal credit for so many random things beyond his direct control.
He is now taking increasing credit for Trump’s agenda - notwithstanding that Trump is on record at least as far back as 1988 for holding some of these positions, which is nearly a decade before Savage was ever on the air!
Monday, he solicited praise from his audience, in the form of recollecting his quotable quotations. Just before the end of the program (I guess he chose to stay that time since he was having his ego stroked), a caller mentioned, “The Fourth Estate is now the Fifth Column” (or something similar); Savage has repeatedly taken credit for coining that phrase.
I have been saying that for so long that I cannot remember when I started; it was certainly before I ever heard him say it. Yet, according to Savage, I could not independently know what the Fourth Estate is, what a Fifth Column is, nor have the wit to combine the two in a pithy sentence.
Unlike Savage, I do not claim to have coined it; I am sure other knowledgeable patriots independently conceived that play on words, just as I did.
I find it amusing that Savage and Levin purportedly despise each other, for they are alike: They are both arrogant and abusive with their audience.
I am through with the rest of the paid liars. I still listen to Savage for the occasional thought or fact that I did not know, or for the very occasional interview with someone worth hearing, even though I am beyond sick of hearing him tell me he alone knows this or that datum, and we his listeners are all ignorant patsies.
