If you are playing Fallout 4 on an Xbox One console, we have some good news, as MODS will be supported by this version of the game. Bethesda has made an official announcement regarding this matter on its Twitter account, where it confirmed that the MODS feature will be available for the Fallout 4 version of Xbox One starting from May 19, 2016.

If you are not sure what MODS are, then you should know that they are designed to be easy to access on any platform. The MODS will actually be created on a computer and, after that, uploaded on Bethesda’s official website. From there, you will have the option to download them to your Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC and load them in your Fallout 4 game.

Fan-made mods are on their way to the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 versions of Fallout 4 — here’s how you can apply to the beta and be among the first console players to try out this content.

There was a great deal of excitement when mod support was announced for the console versions of Fallout 4 at E3 last year. Almost a year later, we’re yet to see this feature added into the game — but it seems that we’re getting close to the finish line now, as Bethesda has announced plans for a beta test.

Never got into the Fallout franchise but mods can be great, especially for games that you’ve played to death.

I downloaded a Typhoon class SSBN for Silent Hunter 4 (WW2 submarine sim). The engine didn’t support using the missile tubes for their intended purpose, so the modder made them all rear-facing torpedo tubes, loaded with supercavitating torpedos.

Then I showed up in the middle of the Japanese fleet at Midway, muahahahaha!

I don’t know much of anything about these games, except that they are very popular. Is it still mostly young guys who play them, or have the original fans now grown up into 40 y/o’s who still play regularly?

Mods for a game created on a computer?

We've come so far from creating mods with Balsa wood and epoxy.

Fallout and Elder Scrolls have very large older followings.

Check youtube for “Let’s Play” videos. These will give you an idea of how these games are played and what their appeal is.

Quit playing after getting into the institute. Too much talking not enough game. Arkham Knight had the same problem, I finished it cause...Batman.

Been playing TC’s The Division instead. Lots of bugs, but tons of fun.

That will be fun. I remember way back when, Neverwinter Nights came with a tool kit that allowed you to basically develop your own game based on all the Neverwinter Nights game elements. you could develop monsters, dialogs, events, treasure, etc. It was as much fun as playing the game. We need more of that.

Over 100 hours in, haven’t been to the Institute, Railroad or the Prydwyn yet.

Won’t start Arkham Knight until I finish Fallout. How does it compare to previous Arkham games?

I put that off until I had done pretty much everything else. It took a long time to get there. One of the best games ever IMO.

Modding has been a big part of Bethesda’s appeal on the PC. Now they are going to let us do it on consoles.

I can’t wait.

Mix. I’m late thirties. Quite a few women are starting to play as well. I’d say they’re most popular with college age due to them having the most free time around classes.

I’ve been playing on different platforms since I was about 5.

Didn’t play the others. I jumped from Warcrack to iPad games before Pandaria and finally broke down and bought a ps4 last fall.

Knight was my first ps4 game and I loved it. Big fan of the old 90’s cartoon and of course they used those guys for the voices. Some complained about too much batmobile. To me it felt like playing a movie. That was good in some ways, graphics and everything meshed well, but bad in others when you realized how little game there was.

All in all I’d be very happy to buy another Arkham game.
