In the not too distant future Musk is going to be landing capsules back on earth.

I should have clearer. Assuming the shuttle is for manned space purposes then Musk’s ability to land manned space vehicles on a barge/very limited land area will render shuttles obsolete. Hope that is clearer.

Dragon Capsule -- Interesting webpage design as well. Worth a visit to see how it animates as you scroll from top to bottom of the page...
