A growing number of Muslim refugees in Europe are converting to Christianity, according to churches, which have conducted mass baptisms in some places.
Reliable data on conversions is not available but anecdotal evidence suggests a pattern of rising church attendance by Muslims who have fled conflict, repression and economic hardship in countries across the Middle East and central Asia.
Complex factors behind the trend include heartfelt faith in a new religion, gratitude to Christian groups offering support during perilous and frightening journeys, and an expectation that conversion may aid asylum applications.
At Trinity church in the Berlin suburb of Steglitz, the congregation has grown from 150 two years ago to almost 700, swollen by Muslim converts, according to Pastor Gottfried Martens. Earlier this year, churches in Berlin and Hamburg reportedly held mass conversions for asylum seekers at municipal swimming pools.

I believe there may be some spin here because a lot of these organizations are making money placing refugees. That said, it hope it’s true.
I tend to believe there is some truth to this. Yes, most the ‘rape-fugees’ are never going to assimilate, but I think there will be just enough, a trickle of the enlightened to have enough courage to convert.
I suspect of that small number, most will keep their conversions to themselves, but this mindset of knowing peace through the love of Christ is bound to effect the way they react to people around them.
There was a man named Mohammed at our church last week. When I first saw him I was immediately on guard, but when I greeted him, his eyes were very different from every other Somalian I have ever encountered. He looked alive-his eyes were bright and happy.
After a lifetime in a desert, finding living water would be irresistible. I hope and pray that the conversions are genuine. It’s the only way to triumph over the plague of Islam.

Some of these religious organizations make a lot of money placing refugees (and illegals in the USA). Our USA government pays billions to help place illegals and so-called refugees.
In this case, I don’t know. I hope they are being converted to the one true religion that can save them.

So when someone comes to a Pastor or Priest requesting baptism, they’re supposed to “demand existential proof” first? Yeah, that will REALLY help spread the good news.
You have to know if your pastor/priest is a fake...or if he is real.
Well its not your place or mine to question them. If they are truly converting, then that is a good thing.

Well said. Also, in their home countries the penalties can be severe for leaving Islam. I'm sure people have been chomping at the bit to get into a Western country where they can do so without repercussions.
