General Mills has huge hopes for Tiny Toast
CBS News ^ | June 6, 2016 | Jonathan Berr

Posted on 06/06/2016 5:23:26 PM PDT by ConservativeStatement

Tiny Toast is designed to appeal to younger, health-conscious consumers because it's one of the few breakfast cereal on the market flavored with real fruit and has no high-fructose corn syrup, artificial flavors or colors. It will join the Minnesota-based company's already formidable lineup of cereals that have been part of American breakfasts for decades such as Cheerios, Trix and Lucky Charms.

“Make yourself some fresh protein-rich pancakes instead. I have a killer recipe.”

Mind sharing it?

Well, they’re high protein - flax seed, almond meal, eggs, yogurt, milk, nut butter - and I like them plain with no syrup so it works for me.

3 TB flax meal 1/2 cup almond meal 3/4 cup flour 1.5 cups buttermilk (or 1 cup milk & 1/2 cup plain yogurt) 2 eggs 1 TB walnut or any nut oil 1/8 tsp. salt 1 tsp. baking soda

Mix the dry ingredients, mix the wet ones. Then combine the two and fry up your pancakes in a little butter.

"I logged a lot of miles training for that day. And I downed a lot of doughnuts. Little Chocolate Donuts. They taste good, and they've got the sugar I need to get me going in the morning. That's why Little Chocolate Donuts have been on my training table since I was a kid."

Now if they can get rid of the mutant ADM/Monsanto grains, they might be onto something...

I never thought that by eating Cheerios for breakfast I would be supporting gay marriage. Your decision to pander to same-sex marriage activists has forced me to choose between your food products and my conscience. As long as food is produced by other companies my conscience is going to win out over the desire for another bowl of Lucky Charms. Until you stop supporting this radical social agenda I must, in good conscience, look for substitutes that I can purchase instead of the following brands.

>>Don’t knock Crunchberries.<<

You misundertake me! I am saying Chrunchberries was the pinnacle of cereal. Everything after that is a lowering of the bar.

Once they made Captain Crunch Crunchberries only, cereals had only one place to go and that was down.

The Platonic Ideal of breakfast cereals. My parents had to eat many boxes of Cap'n Crunch Crunchberry cereal that had been stripped of their berries like a swarm of red dye #5 locusts had gotten to them... but it all my brother's fault.
