Any cereal that can live on a shelf for weeks and months without going bad has had all the nutrient-rich content removed. Make yourself some fresh protein-rich pancakes instead. I have a killer recipe.
That's true. For me, it's usually fresh eggs, whole milk yogurt and blueberries for breakfast. Sometimes I'll make an omelette with mushrooms, bacon and swiss cheese. I try to stay away from pancakes as I'm trying to keep things low carb but they are a lot better than packaged cereal.
Rolled oats can be stored for 25+ years and still be edible.
