“It would really show the world how evil socialism is if the US would start dropping food like we did after WWII”
Even better would be to drop pallets of machine guns and ammunition all over the country. That would solve the food problem quicker than any other solution.

During WWII, there was a cheap, single-shot .45 cal gun called the Liberator that was dropped by the thousands into Europe. Drop off a bunch of those and the locals can get their machine guns from the military.
