I have an uncle who moved to Norway about 40 years ago and married a Norwegian lady - they have two daughters: one married a dane and the other a swede. He tells me that he can converse reasonably well with the Dane, but the Swede can’t understand him at times (though he can understand the Swede most of the time)
The only Swedish I’ve encountered has been “a massage from the Swedish Prime Minister” from Monty Python, and the Muppet Show chef. ;’)
