They DID fix it. Many, many times. Now even more problems have appeared:

Everyone -well, most everyone... is recommending that it be uninstalled due to the continually repeating discoveries of problems with it.

Don’t run a Mac here, sorry mate.
Thanks!
Any Fr-er's have a lightweight alternative? I need to find the link I had to freebee alternatives.....
Blam, It sounds like you are in the same league as I am. I’m not sure what I am doing or suppose to have. I am operating Windows 7, I like my old program. About 10 years ago I worked with some really good techies and they kept me up to date about what I should be doing. . .the programs to install, etc. etc. etc. I miss the personal technical assistance! I really felt I was in the know back then. Everything’s above my paygrade now. . .I’m retired.

Foxit Reader <- FREE. It opens a pdf file very quick, like immediately.

They also have an editor that they sell.
Of course, luvvie. And glad you found it helpful. Tell all your friends, ‘ay? *grin*
The ‘alternative’ is to switch to the new standard “HTML5” (but I could be misspelling it, mind) which bypasses all the older sitedemands about Flash content.
Most sites these days have already switched over, and you would be hard-pressed to notice a difference.
Really. :)
Cheers!
Luvvie, you need have no worries. Just remove all Flash programmes and apps on your systems now and you will need have no worries in the future about any vulnerabilities that might have been introduced into your boxen due to the insecurities inherent upon the running of that particular application.
The new standard is already being implemented, and according to most accounts you would be hard-pressed to find an occasion where a Flash file would be necessary to continue on in whatever venue you might be following, other than viewing a vid file which most sites have alrady converted over. :)

Yup. Retired at the end of 1994...technicians used to do everything for me. Should have paid attention.
Thanks!
Anytime! :)
I use Okular on this system.
Is there a good alternative that you like, that will work for that? Thanks a bunch.
Seriously? You removed the dangerous Flash plug-in from your browser. Now you ask why a Flash file no longer plays.
Imagine for a moment it was a Quicktime plug-in you removed from your system. Why would you expect to still be able to play Quicktime videos?
As far as the actual vid you enquired about, you would have to contact the content provider to see about them re-posting it under another format if you still wished to view it online, or you could simply right-click it and download it to your computer to view with a standalone player if you feel the need. Just remember not to be online when you do so.
