Carly for Trump VP? Tell me why not, b/c it makes sense to me

Posted on 06/26/2016 4:38:47 PM PDT by WilliamIII

Carly would amount to an olive branch extended to GOP establishment - and a dagger pointed at Hillary. Nobody rips the Clintons more fiercely and surgically than Carly.

It would make NO sense. Trump needs someone with government experience. He also needs a winner.

Guliani’s chances may have increased with the recent terrorist attack.

Trump needs a VP who is even more Trumpian than Trump.

Why? Because, it will eliminate the temptation of the oligarchy to have Trump assassinated.

Put Carley on the ticket, and I guarantee that in multiple smoke filled backrooms plans will be hatched to get rid of Trump—by violence—so Carley (someone they can work with) can become president.

VP is not a leadership job.

Yes it is; the vice-president is the president of the Senate.

It’s what the prez wants it to be, and if Trump wants a rhetorical attack dog, Carly is there to serve

I don't think her rhetoric is all that great; Bealem the author of this gem, would make a better vice-president. (IMO)

What we are about on our VP IS LOYALTY to our president.

I'd rather have loyalty to our Constitution rather than to the president himself.

No way in heck. Not to mention, iSnarly once let it slip that she’d actually be supporting Hellary, if not for her already having an (2008) advising gig, with McLame.

I like her in some ways but her business record was worse than spotty. He may think it reflects on her judgement and ability ti execute. If The Donald is elected his VP may have to assume a role more akin to executioner metaphorically speaking. The chief of staff will have to be a major asshole and he’ll go through more than a few.

Trump and Guliani are from the SAME STATE.

They are prohibited by the Constitution from from running together.

I’d say, if you read all the posts on this thread, you’d find about 10% of the reasons for nevercarly.

Actually, the fact that so many people posted so quickly confirms, in my mind, that this idea has some credibility. People wouldn’t feel the need to weigh in if they thought it was a total joke

Why? She’s never much of a force in the GOP. She lost in her bid for a Senate seat from California, and she lost her bid for the White House, giving her a record of 0-2.

Not Carly, because, in the case of Trump’s death or impeachment, she would undermine any- and everything Trump wishes to accomplish.

This needs to be a very special vice president.

I have to say, reading up on politics has moments of hope, despair, sick-making, hilarity, fear, disgust, happiness, revulsion, and resolution (usually to learn my lesson, damnit, and get back to my books!)

This is something else again. I have to ask you, who on earth do you imagine Fiorina will actually bring in, and what do you suppose will keep Trump voters from fleeing if she were to get put on the ticket?

What ever happened with the GOPe black list of anyone who helps Trump?

What does Carly bring to the ticket?

Remember the presidential election is usually won or lost in some 8+- states. I’m not sure
which ones they’ll be this time but what do you see as her greatest assests that will help
win those up for grab states?
