I found this article fascinating. The sordid underbelly of the Cartel drug trade where there is only a hair’s difference between the good guys and the bad guys they pursue. And the thankless life of an informant. Amazing what some people will do in pursuit of the almighty dollar.
Now you know why people in power don’t want the southern border closed. The illegal drug trade represents hundreds of billions and maybe trillions of tax free, untraceable, hard cash. This money is recession proof.
You have to ask yourself why do we have a war on drugs AND a war on terror? Where are the two places in the world where poppies are grown? Who controls these areas? What country has largest demand for illegal drugs?
Does the US maintain a military presence in Afghanistan and Columbia in order to fight a war on terror/drugs or is it to ensure the protection of the supply train?
