I looked it up.... I avoid all of those foods except oatmeal, noodles, and potatoes. Those are favorites of mine. I’ll have to think about it. Experiment a little. Because I’m pretty healthy on this current diet, but I do get a bit bloated during the day. I wake up with a nice little six pack, but it’s gone by noon. LOL...

Hmmmmm! Just a couple of weeks ago I came up with the thought that seeing as I have bunches of food allergies and the worst of them are tropical.
Maybe it has to do with genetics?
A friend did my ancestor thing and found that I have what is now referred to as Native American in four and a half of my great, great grand parents.
My choice of foods pretty much tracks with what they may have grown or hunted. Except for fish, Yukkkkkkk!I don’t care if I buy it or catch it I always get one that tastes like cod liver oil.
I kind of like this line of thinking.

Same here. I admit I occasionally eat a Snickers candy bar but then I feel sleepy afterwards.

At that enormous weight losing 15 pounds in two weeks is not hard.

Yeah, one of my grandmothers lived to be 90 on beer, coffee, cigarettes, and chocolate covered cherries. Go figure.

I probably should be eating low carb, but I get so sick of salads in restaurants. Also, I have never found the low-carb substitutes for “carby” foods to be satisfactory. Do you eat the low carb breads, tortillas, etc.?

It’s also difficult to go to someone’s house for a meal.

It’s funny how different people react to various foods. I love fish (except salmon), but some in my family hate it as you do. Personally, I could go the rest of my life without eating a veggie other than corn or taters. I just don’t like vegetables unless they are concealed in a casserole or pot pie.

Yes, I agree with how hard it can be to eat at other people’s houses. I just offer to bring something when I can. I don’t tolerate grains very well (brain fog) so I only eat them a few times a year. There are a few really good recipes for lower carb desserts out there. Amazon has a few cookbooks.
