After this delegate vote, I will give nasty Ted the benefit of the doubt that even he can see the writing on the wall. He lost badly in 2016, far worse than Reagan did in 1976 against Gerald Ford. If Ted thinks he can pull a Reagan in his speech tomorrow night so that the delegates will begin to doubt they voted for the right man, he is hopelessly deluded.
Ted is no Reagan.
And after today, he has the hard numbers to prove it.
You and I know that, but I honestly believe Ted is delusional. He obviously thought he could, through his delegates, take the nomination away from Trump at the convention. Because he had it in his power to stop his delegates, and he chose not to.
He thought he had the nomination in the bag when he announced, and I do think he was the front runner as far as we grassroots Republicans were concerned. After all he fought for the things we believed in, conservatism. But when Donald Trump entered the race, he fought for something else, Americans. Cruz never grabbed hold of the mantle, and that was his downfall. I still do not think to this day he understands why he lost, and badly.
