The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) at the Port of San Francisco destroyed numerous illegal containers imported into the U.S from China. These containers contained rat meat! The strange thing about this is the plan this rat meat to be sold as chicken meat. The idea was the nasty meat to be shipped to different points in several states, and to be sold as chicken.

The FDA states that there is a possibility of another 300,000 lbs. of this meat being offered in groceries and restaurants across the U.S. The FDA inspector, Ronal Jones, claims that if cooked completely, this meat is not dangerous.

Maybe time for a Tea Party. Dump all of the meat into the harbor. Sharks and crabs don’t care if it is rat meat.

Are the faux-chicken rats just rodents scooped off the street and out of the sewers or are they farm-raised rats? Not that I’d ever eat ANYTHING from China. I’ll stick to kosher chicken, which I know is chicken.

The site name sure reads like a satire site.

I figure they’re money laundering places or some other front.

After Breaking Bad my wife and I notice a lot of businesses with nice store fronts and very little business.

I cannot find reference to this from the FDA. All the reports are from sites similar to the one linked. Most likely it was first posted on a hoax/satire site but then picked up as legitimate news by the “We’re all gonna die unless we eat natural organic foods, with the supplements we sell” sites

I don't know about rats but once in a Hong Kong restaurant we watched a snake being beheaded and skinned right at a nearby table.

Rodents are edible. A grain-fed rat is no less edible than a rabbit or a squirrel. But coming from China, who knows WHAT they have been fed?

Those Chinese, nothing they wouldn't do. My husband watched several Chinese men in the parking lot of the stock yard where they had just purchased a calf, slaughter it and cut it up in the trunk of their car. I guess they then took it to their restaurant and made Mongolian beef! Yum!

No more than a half an hour ago, my grandson, who was eating Popcorn Chicken for lunch, bit into a piece and we found some greyish black stuff inside. I took a pic and am emailing it to Perdue. My grandchildren live on these things. SMH... Absolutely disgusting!!!

Squirrel meat is ultra gamey and evasive

My kids eat them

Il help clean and cook them but it’s way down my list of good eats

Best rodent type is ground hog

Very good eating

My grand-daddy’s favorite breakfast was fresh squirrel with biscuits and gravy.

I don’t know for sure. They had ‘bannana ketchup’ with some kind of peppers and pineapples. It had the texture of chicken but the taste was better, unless you know a chicken farmer that feeds his flock ONLY rice seeds. Rat on a stick was a treat when bar hopping.
