here is a resounding feeling across all of football that the rookie season of Joey Bosa isn't heading toward trouble. It isn't close to over. Actually, what three general managers said in interviews was that it is over. It's done. It's gone. The dumbass Chargers flushed it down the toilet.
"If Joey Bosa ended his dispute tomorrow," said one NFC general manager, "he would barely get something from his rookie year. But it won't end tomorrow. It could be weeks. So effectively, the Chargers threw away the rookie year of their own high draft pick."

go browns
49ers did that with Crabtree a few years back. Came in in October and started the next week. He was never a #1 WR and is now doing well as a #2 in Oakland. It’s a 2 way street. Any future employer of Bosa(4 years from now) should keep that in mind. In Bosa’s ‘defense’ wasting one half of his rookie season on a losing team may be the smart thing to do. He’s really playing for his 2nd contract-like all of them do. That gives him 3 full years to prepare for that time.
Inside football. zzzz
This means that the Chargers may never get an Eli Manning or a John Elway EVER. It is a seller’s market for well-regarded QBs.
They are lucky to have Philip Rivers, an exceptional man and a very good QB.
After tonight, they may go wherever they like, but the Bucs have to beat them first :-)
With the LeBrons winning the NBA title and the Indians in first place, we may be on the verge of better times.
Never heard of him. Didn’t know this was a sports site.
What site are you referring to?
San Diego is too nice a place to take any sports seriously. Pete Rose at the lack of attendance at Padres games: “They got a nude beach there. Where would you rather go?”
While both sides are being dumb in the end Bosa is being dumber. Yeah the Chargers are wasting a draft pick, but they do that all the time. Bosa’s letting 17 million bucks evaporate because he doesn’t want 15% of his signing bonus shifted to next year.
Wouldn't that be a tax advantage? Has he talked with his tax attorney or accountant?
In CA it might not be since the money is earned this year and CA is crazy. He probably hasn’t, he seems primarily concerned with the ego stroke. He is second generation and his dad held out on his rookie contract, so maybe it’s all a very complicated homage to his dad.
You heard it here first. ;-)
Go Bolts!
