Yep. We're all pretty much Bernie fans around here. I mean, who prints the money? The government, that's who. We'd all be rich if they only printed enough for everybody to be a millionaire. It's just selfishness, that's all. And if everyone were an millionaire, everything would be free. So you wouldn't need the money.

I'm pretty much for an alternate view of everything because that's what us progressives do. For example, everybody thinks that kids should get graded in school. What if they don't? Then they'd all be free from oppression. Everybody thinks it's wrong to bomb kiddies and their puppies and kittens from orbiting space stations containing nuclear weapons, but come on, let's have a little free thought around here - what if it's really cool? Have you ever heard anyone advocating it? No? It's because everybody is stuck into a conservative rut, that's why.

Also nobody should have guns except the government because if you can't trust people who pay $500 for a toilet seat with guns, who can you trust? They would get more tax money that way too because you can get more with a smile and a gun than you can with just a smile. I think George Washington said that no it was Al Capone.

So anyway I'm voting for Bernie for everything. Ponies and free candy and he'll make eclipses of the moon happen in the daytime so everybody can see them. What a wonderful world it would be if we just used our imagination!

There were a LOT of loopholes and deductions back in those days that got the actual rate way down.

The tax code of the 1950s allowed upper-income Americans to take exemptions and deductions that are unheard of today. Tax shelters were widespread, and not just for the superrich. The working wealthy—including doctors, lawyers, business owners and executives—were versed in the art of creating losses to lower their tax exposure.

For instance, a doctor who earned $50,000 through his medical practice could reduce his taxable income to zero with $50,000 in paper losses or depreciation from property he owned through a real-estate investment partnership. Huge numbers of professionals signed up for all kinds of money-losing schemes. Today, a corresponding doctor earning $500,000 can deduct a maximum of $3,000 from his taxable income, no matter how large the loss.

If anything, liberals unwittingly make the case for the rich to keep more of their money.

The idle rich got taxed at 90% but the working rich had tons of loopholes for expenses for housing business and family expenses. Keeped the tax accountants very busy and very rich. Now the loopholes have mostly closed but I think the amount of tax into the system is higher for working rich but the idle rich pay less and give to the democratic party (graduates of indocrinating, overly expensive liberal colleges and trustifarians).
I could be wrong but I’m sticking to it.

Why isn’t this pile of stinking idiocy banned yet?

Burnie’s people must all be drug users. It’s not possible to just naturally be this stupid.

Hmm, now that I read a few sentences, maybe satire? But the circus just joined today. ANd this is its only offering.

I think drugs are the reason combined with natural stupidity.
