(vanity) Burger King Restaurant Receipt Bible Verse
Self | 1 October 2016 | CodeToad

Went to Burger King today, and noticed at the bottom of the receipt a Bible verse: "Psalms 20:4 (NIV) May he give you the desire of your heart and make all your plans succeed."

Maybe the owners of this franchise deserve a little recognition for their stand. Seems Chick-fil-A and a few others have taken a stand while others have turned tail and ran from their faith.

So, if you are ever in the Castle Rock, Colorado area, the two Burger King restaurants are owned by the same company. Even if you don't eat there, maybe send them a nice message of thanks for sticking it out there.

The receipt and the Bible verse:

It seems we see fewer restaurants wanting to jump into religion, so I was surprised to see this receipt had a Bible verse since I *think* the parent company is from California. I could be wrong about that.

Just wanted to recognize them for their stand.

God Bless them for doing that, but I suspect they’d rather remain anonymous in this gesture. Too many complainers shopping for their next fake outrage.

Well, I suspect they wouldn’t put it on their receipts if they were bashful about it.

Surprising, since BK has some of the most lascivious ads out there.

Locally owned and operated is the key. Pretty cool!

The BK ads come from corporate. The bible verse receipt comes from a locally owned BK. Two different things.

Cool.

In n Out and Forever 21 put Bible verse references on their bags.

If you are fortunate enough to have an In-N-Out burger nearby, you will find “John 3:16” written in small script on a cup or paper bag.

It’s not just a local thing, you’ll find it at any In-N-Out restaurant. And their burgers are awesome!

In’ N’ Out has done for decades. Best burger in LA.

” In-N-Out restaurant”

I can only wish. We’ve had 5-Guys, Smash Burger, Fat Burger, Freddy’s, and a few other but, unfortunately, no In-N-Out. Seems that’s a real favorite.

“The bible verse receipt comes from a locally owned BK. Two different things.”

I know, and that was my point. These franchisees are sticking it out there.

Burger King looked like it was going to the dark side a few years ago and their commercials made me feel dirty and gritty. I would imagine that they learned their lesson due to lost business and have opted to take a more traditional route.

It's beyond me that so many businesses are paying good money for the trashy commercials that "Madison Ave" is foisting off on them these days.

In-N-Out also has Revelation 3:20 on something — French fry bags, I think. (At least they did when we lived in SoCal.)

BK has taken a severe beating in the fast food market. Seems lately they’ve taken to investing in their franchises. We’ve even had a few more open.

They must not show them here in Colorado. Carl’s Jr, on the other hand, has half-naked women doing suggestive things with burgers that have convinced me never to buy another burger there.
