Fortunately there was a baseball game to watch--the wild card game between Baltimore and Toronto. One of the Toronto fans threw a beer can that very nearly hit one of the Orioles in the head while he was catching a fly ball. I have been told that the Toronto fans did the same thing last year in the playoffs.

Unfortunately, Toronto won in 11 innings. The Canadians all think they are so much better than Americans but I don't recall hearing of American fans doing that in games.

A few years back, some idiot jumped over the boards at a hockey game up here....he’d been drinking the famous 9% beer they have up here.

That may have been the case here. :)
