God gladly will forgive these sinners too, but won’t excuse. If they want to see blessing, they must stop. However, even being able to stop depends on leaning on the seemingly paradoxical kindness of the Lord. It’s almost a perfect game. “I know I’m a sinner, so I’ll just go right ahead and punish myself, then somehow God will be happy.” Well it turns out God isn’t happy with that, though the devil is. To refuse the overflowing, endless benefit of the Cross causes God more reason for anger than having sinned in the first place. That’s why the bible talks about a single unforgivable sin.
You have to look over me at times. All the evil, all the time, gets me pretty grumpy dealing with the extreme evil that has been uncorked the last 8 years....
