When I worked for civil service, there was a girl in personnel who I sometimes talked to. I was in a small post of duty and she was in the district headquarters.
She had such a sweet manner and voice that I always wondered what she looked like. Just before I transferred to another state for a promotion I had to be in the district office.
Well 9 times out of 10 she would turn out to be some fat girl with a nice personality. This time it turned out she looked just as good as I imagined.
my first job 45+ Years ago - we had a switch board operator with a voice that could be used on an 800 number. In real life she was 350 Lbs. and had a really mean, crabby face. But her voice was really something!

Siri didn’t under stand a phone dialing command three times yesterday, so I let out a big “F You!”
She responded in her very soothing, calm voice: “Steve, I don’t talk to you that way.”

Market opportunity. Given the family court system, and women in general completely blowing up the economic and social institutions that have held the place together, that men would want to punt is understandable.
My company used to deal with a customer who’s receptionist had a total knockout voice. The actual guy I dealt with told me that they had lots of guys call just to speak with her.
What are the odds that a fit and pretty woman is working as a lowly phone operator? Slim.
