An Article from a notorius leftist newspaper in Germany that is indeed very funny. It shows the fundamental differences between contemporary Europe and America.

What this junior leftist prat shows me (again) is that Germans are very willing and apt to accept strong social and political propaganda - fascism, socialism, multiculturalism - it doesn’t matter. Germans are mostly strong conformists.
And once again, they will send themselves and Europe into an abyss.

At the end she says that, thanks to her visit to the village in the cornfields, she is now open to dating a conservative.
Her mind was opened a crack.

In defense of the student herself, she does seem to have the beginnings of a grip on reality by the time she returns to Germany; but I don't much appreciate the “provincial” thing & I have to think there is a distinction between “rights” and “privileges” in German.
