Well, in the moment here in Europe we are still far away from any abyssals. Nevertheless there is big difference in ethnologial and if Trump will be president also political matters. Most Germans see Americans more critical than in the past. You should not forget that the Russians left Germany 25 years ago while the US are still there with their millitary. This is something that big majorities in Germany refuse. The US deployment in Germany is a left-over elite-project of Merkel and Obama. It might be the time to change that.
NATO's mission ended 25 years ago. It should have been dismantled then. instead, it is a statist, globalist project that stands guard over the fundamental transformation of Europe. I can see how it can be viewed as a form of American control or occupation. I hope to God President Trump dismantles NATO as his first act. Let the Europeans defend themselves.
It might be the time to change that.
