There were two girls on their way home December 31, 1999. They hit a patch of ice and ran the car off the road. One of their seat belts was broken and the Dad ( who still feels terrible had not fixed it). So their heads collided when they went off the road. The one wearing the seat belt died at the scene when her future sister-in-law flew over and cracked her head on the other ones head. But the one with the broken seat belt lived long enough to be taken to the hospital and died there, after midnight in January 1, 2000.
Both girls were gone in a matter of a few hours but they died in different centuries.
We went to the funeral. The sad thing was the brother of the one was to be the husband of the other. The families were devastated. The little crosses are still beside the road.
Pennsylvania and Delaware used to officially record all birth dates in Eastern Standard Time. Don’t know if that’s still true.
I think you might be on to something here - it is warmer in the summer. Hmmm.
How old are you, eight?
This is a humorous, rare event, not a nation-driving big effing deal!

Lordy you need to lighten up even more.....
Nice story...
Daylight Standard Time is not only stoopid, but really confusing.
