This^^^^. I would be polite and cordial with Mitt and just move on. Romney is pure establishment.
This BS about holding your friends close, and your enemies even closer, does not necessarily work in the Washington, DC, venue.
More likely that Trump would take Hillary Clinton into his Cabinet, than to accept an alliance of any kind with Mitt Romney, considering the amount of bad blood that lies between the former rivals.
Unless Romney comes prepared to sign a truce, and withdraw from any political activity altogether.
