Economic authoritarianism has now arrived...

Mark Levin·Sunday, December 4, 2016

Economic authoritarianism has now arrived; sorry, there is no other way to put it. I am reminded of Woodrow Wilson and Franklin Roosevelt, both of whom used the power of the federal government to intimidate and even crush legitimate, law-abiding businesses for failing to abide by their political demands. This is a disgrace, and we should all object to it. It concerns me to no end that there are putative Republicans and conservatives who rally around such un-American and destructive strong-arm tactics. And the fact that it is declared by a recent convert to the Republican Party, as opposed to a Democrat, doesn't excuse it; indeed, it should be even more alarming. https://apnews.com/d5a4140c46844b4f8e50f6c28906906c

Let’s see, should I support the 1,000 unemployed, or pee my pants in worry that their 0001% boss might make slightly less profit this year?

I agree, he seems to be trying to make himself appear like a sage, staking out unique clever positions.

It is unbelievable, but the US currently taxes our OWN exports, but doesn’t tax imports. That blew my mind when I heard Trump advisor Steve Moore say that yesterday.

Nice post.

Very much my viewpoint as well.

As far as Levin, I didn’t and don’t listen to him much.

I see no reason for anti-Levin hysteria.

I’m happy to hear him out and agree or disagree.

Mark and Palin are closer to Hillary’s economic policies, than Trumps.

un-American and destructive strong-arm tactics

The Powdered Wig Society despises the American worker. Their adoration of NAFTA/TPP is all I need to know about this disgruntled few.

Mark Levin's credo is now apparently "If Donald Trump deviates one iota from the way I think something should be, I'm going to do nothing but bitch, moan, and groan".

Even though it's obvious that Donald Trump, once he's able to first get inaugurated, will have the conservative, pro-growth policies that will likely exceed Reagan's.

So f--k all these nit-picking a--holes who are getting so hysterical over the President-elect's every decision.

These dupes are doing nothing but servicing the Left and weakening the coalition that just elected Trump.

We just don't need "friends" like Mark Levin anymore. I've lost all respect for the man.

Donald Trump has totally exposed so many bitter, butthurt Establishment phonies...

If regulations on manufacturing are required in this country, then imported manufactured goods should have the same burden levied upon them. To not do so is to encourage every factory to move to mexico that can possibly relocate.

Right here. To have American companies compete on an even playing field is a foreign concept to globalists. Such a base concept.

Levin is a self important megalomaniac (megalomania a delusional mental disorder that is marked by feelings of personal omnipotence and grandeur.)

He thinks he is an expert on the constitution, just ask him!

He thinks he is the world’s greatest author, just ask him!

He thinks he is an expert on politics, just ask him!

He thinks he is an expert on all aspects of the law, just ask him!

He is RUDE and talks down to his intellectually inferior callers.

And that VOICE! OMG, it’s insufferable.

That anyone still listens to this sanctimonious, pompous A$$, is beyond me.

sanctimonious:

self-righteous, holier-than-thou, pious, pietistic, churchy, moralizing, preachy, smug, superior, priggish, hypocritical, insincere; informalgoody-goody
“no one wants to hear your sanctimonious hot air”

pompous:

self-important, imperious, overbearing, domineering, magisterial, pontifical, sententious, grandiose, affected, pretentious, puffed up, arrogant, vain, haughty, proud, conceited, egotistic, supercilious, condescending, patronizing

the tax incentives are just the state telling a tax payer to keep more of their own money. They didn’t take anything away from Carrier or Carrier away from the state. ML is an idiot

I’d say you’ve covered it ;)

One thing tho, he is not a very smart entrepreneur! Going down same road as Beck...trying to sell books and run an internet TV network while alienating and attacking your audience and their candidate doesn’t work very well...NOT SMART!

Economic authoritarianism has been standard since 2008 with Obama’s crony capitalism. Bailouts of various green energy firms, meddling in car company bankruptcies to favor certain creditors, the CPSC shakedowns levying fines on companies for simply disparate impact (and not donating to the DNC).
You have similar fascism with the targeted audits and raids of conservative companies, from the Gibson Guitars raid based ostensibly on some Indian law broken by not having sandalwood finished there to the head of True the Vote, a conservative vote fraud watchdog group, being audited by IRS, EPA and ATF in a few weeks of being critical of an election.

I started listening to Levin a few months before the primary election, and absolutely loved his broadcasts. I voted for Cruz in the Texas primary election out of loyalty to who I thought Cruz was. Levin helped me accept that choice. (I felt guilty being drawn to Trump)

Having said that, I think Levin's problem begins and ends with his own definition of “conservative”. The number one thing that drew me to President elect Trump was his undeniable love for this country.

No, I do not believe that Trump is a “conservative”. But love of this Country and its people goes well beyond a simple moniker. This is what Levin needs to learn.

Get over the conservative principle Mr. Levin, and understand it is love of country that is important and Donald Trump has it in spades! Do that sir, and I might start listening to you once again, but you lost me completely when you did not accept the will of the people after the primary.

“You mean what unions have wrought”

There are plenty of options for manufacturing to relocate within the US to avoid union problems. Companies choose Mexico not just for lower labor costs.

Does Mark Levin think that Trump’s economy is going to be worse than Obama’s?

“Economic authoritarianism has now arrived...”

Surely, he was referring to NAFTA, where the Federal Government overrode free market dynamics and wrote economic outcomes.
