ISIS attack on Palmyra directly linked to US waiver on rebel arms supplies

President Obama’s announcement of a waiver for arming unspecified rebel groups in Syria came shortly before the terrorist group Islamic State launched a massive attack on Palmyra. Syrian President Bashar Assad believes it was no coincidence, he told RT. "The announcement of the lifting of that embargo is related directly to the attack on Palmyra and to the support of other terrorists outside Aleppo, because when they are defeated in Aleppo, the United States and the West, they need to support their proxies somewhere else," he said.

"The crux of that announcement is to create more chaos, because the United States creates chaos in order to manage this chaos,"

Tell me if this makes no sense.

Trump meets with his generals. He asks them? What if we approach the Russians with a deal. We unite to get ISIS out of Syria, in return we support Assad providing there are no reprisals against the rebels who fought against him, and most important Assad guarantees the safety of the Christian communities, and takes back Syrian refugees here.

He also agrees not to do anything to undermine Israel.

In short, he says, tell me what is wrong with this plan?

Assad is no worse, and might be better than Quadaffi

Russia is there why? Oil, natural gas, what? I’m sensing that if we are energy independent, we don’t need these bastar*s.

Still worse, the ISIS guys overran the T-4 Russian air base, seizing large quantities of air and ground missiles. What is odd about this whole affair is that the ISIS forces, included at least 22 tanks, somehow snuck up on everyone. Satellites, anyone?

How about this proposal....Trump meets with Assad & Putin to re-establish the legally elected government of Syria....and Trump encourages them to kill every member of ISIS, Al Nusra, al qaeda, or any other murderous Islamic foreign mercenary found in their country....?

If it does not involve one solitary US soldier in that hell hole, I say yes.

McCain and Graham can go to hell.

It’s time to look at what is best for us, and it’s not taking it Syrian muslim refugees, and backing rebels who probably don’t like us to begin with.

Obama, like Carter, has left Trump with one big Cluster F

Eastern Med, port of Tartus, access to Black Sea, counter to US presence in Iraq and ties to Saudi. Syria is a Russia arms client. Syria and Russia have common interests in containing and defeating extremist sunni Islamism

Syria has been a Russian client and ally for decades
We have no hounds in that hunt
Except we now work at the bidding of Saudi Arabia and Turkey, and McCain and the neocons have a personal vendetta against Putin,

“the neocons have a personal vendetta against Putin,”

You got that right! The nationalist Putin was the greatest impediment to the globalist vision, Bush’s New World Order for a while.....now they have Brexit, Trump, & many European nationalist movements ruining their Orwellian scheme.....

Our armed forces have become proxies of Saudi Arabia under Obama/Clinton. Thank God for Trump.

There’s no evidence of this claim. Many of the better troops from the ISIS front had been moved to Aleppo and Palmyra was largely being held by poorly trained militia who fled when ISIS attacked with SVBIED’s, tanks and heavy artillery.
