Perhaps. But how is an American oceanographic vessel going to sink a Chinese warship?
Sinking might be a bit much. Maybe it could become in desperate need of repairs, towed to port and then scrapped for economic reasons. Perhaps there will be some major engine damage in that ship’s future?
