greeneyes :" Will be ordering some canned foods this weekend - Emergency Essentials has some sales. "

Do you get the notices of sales via email ?
Do you check out the prepper notes at the bottom of the email notices, generally there are two such prepper articles in each email.
I actually email the significant prepper articles to myself for storage purposes, and the emails come daily, with sales offers of sometimes 65% on selected items.
The one from yesterday :12/16/16 "What kind of wheat" to store?(gluten content varies in wheat(Hard red/hard white/soft white) and various uses (bread/ pastry/sprouts,etc.).
12/12/16- "Don't Forget Your Emergency Kit for Winter Travel" (What to pack, snackbars, water, space blanket, first aid, jumper cables, etc.)
The prepper articles seem to be seasonal adjusted.
The only thing I haven't seen on sale is the selection of long term storage of vegetable seeds (canned and sealed,25 years storage).

No I don’t get the emails-I rarely look at email and the only time I get on facebook is when the kids text me that they have posted some pictures of the grand kids.

I signed up for the catalog, and about once a quarter, I go review various sites for new products and sales. I still really like the LDS on line store for basics in the number 10 size cans. They have been adding to the selections available so it’s not as limited as it once was.

At one time they had a starter case-it had one can each of the various basics such as beans, rice, flour etc. One case was basics for one month, and one person. Made it easier for beginners to stock up with less outlay. It’s no longer available, but the prices on what they have are very competitive.
