‘Pictures of Matchstick Men’ was the only SQ tune I can remember on this side of the pond...
RIP.
Yep.
That used to be the only song I knew from them. Then YouTube recommended some of their later songs and I thought “Why isn’t this on the radio? These guys need better management.”.
I lost count of how many songs I thought that about when listening to LP's back in the late 60's and 70's...
I’ve listened to ‘Matchstick Men 3 times already.
I started getting into these guys about 8 years ago.... One of the great bands of the seventies.... The album Hello from 73 is a classic.......I just ordered a Quo T shirt online 2 days ago...strange coincidence....rip
Now THAT’S ‘rock and roll’...great link!
Sad. He had to leave a recent tour.
I listen to Caroline all the time at the gym.

They did such cool things with intros and time signatures. Next to Keith Richards, they had a better understanding of Chuck Berry than anyone.
If you classic Bon Scott period AC/DC and Foghat, these guys are in the same league, but more diverse.
I grew up in the 60s and 70s and this is the first time I’ve heard of them. Have to say, based on the few songs I just listen to, I’d put them near the bottom of the list of 70s bands.
...in any case, RIP, fellow old timer.
