Ford says it is creating new jobs in the US

Before he's even taken office, President-elect Donald Trump has proven to be quite the job creator.

Ford Motor Company announced Tuesday it will cancel a $1.6 billion plant planned for Mexico and will instead invest $700 million in a Michigan assembly plant, directly tying the decision to “pro-growth policies” championed by President-elect Donald Trump.

It is headlines like this that solidify Trump’s support among the working class - “look, he’s not even President and he’s bringing back jobs! So much for Obama being focused like a laser beam on jobs, what has he done?”

I know you’d know that, LS - but perhaps not everyone here.

P.S. Elton John is a homosexual? I would never have guessed :-)

...a $900 Million Dollar Discrepancy?? Is that the amount of Bribe Money they had to pay the Mexican Authorities????

As an engineer who has built industrial facilities, that is typical for adding onto an existing site vs. building a new one from scratch.

The savings on what are called "utilities" are enormous. These are more than just electricity, gas and water like at your home, but also road development, a rail spur to get materials in and out, frequently steam for heating, fuel and gasoline storage, etc.

The win is especially important, because once these "utilities" are in, further expansion is easy. Now all the have in Mexico is an empty field.

Another Victory for the Trumpocratic Party. Good things are coming! A new Hollywood! A New Republican News media, a new navy and army, new factories and jobs. Who needs welfare and free medical service when we can have jobs! Good Jobs! Not Mini-Pay burger-flipper jobs but jobs with benefits—and a check people can live on.
