Man has extremely solid excuse for being late to work

A homeowner was stunned when he tried to leave his house on Monday morning only to find his front door had been bricked up. The man was leaving his home in Mainhausen, near Frankfurt, Germany, and found someone had built a wall in front of his entrance. It seems the stealthy bricklayers had managed to erect the wall without attracting any attention and he had to tear it down to leave his property. A police statement said the man “must have felt like a Berliner in August 1961,” referring to East Germany’s unannounced sealing of its border with the Berlin Wall. Police spokesman Ingbert Zacharias told Hessenschau.de late Tuesday that officers don’t know whether a prank, a dare or an act of revenge was behind the wall. Cops are searching for the perpetrators and say the motive for the impromptu masonry is unclear but could be a joke, revenge or a bet.

That’s hilarious!

One of my best boyhood friends and I, after Navy service and both married, used to prank each other every few months. However, none were as good as the wall building!
