NO. I do not eat my girls. Would never think of that. They are a part of the family and provide us with an abundance of eggs.

Unfortunately, we have lost some of our girls in previous years to varmints and have learned lessons along the way.

Our fat girls lay big eggs.

My apologies. I’m one of them thar, ignant city folk. Didn’t occur to me that you refer to your chickies as “girls”. Suspect that is no different than us big city types referring to our dogs and cats as “ boys and girls”.
