There isnt a shortage of these things and they will take calves.
Yea they will but it's extremely rare. You should know that your biggest predators are Coyotes, Dogs, Mountain Lions and Bobcats, in that order..........But I'm sure you know that already.

I’ve been watching that nest. The Berry College eagles just laid their two eggs a few days ago.

Not rare. If I have witnessed an eagle carrying a lamb a handful of time, it is not rare. I have never seen a coyote attack, just the results.
