Two things.......the Democrats were far out of touch with the reality of the American people, especially the middle class and blue collar workforce. And the total failure to realize that Hillary Clinton was the absolute worst, ever POTUS candidate put forth by any political party...a female empty suit, that loved, only herself!!! The Democrats licked their chops when Trump was nominated, thinking Clinton would wipe up the floor with him. They were not only wrong they were dead wrong....from Obama on down the line!!!
Obama, came into office determined to destroy the American Republic. The only thing he really destroyed was his own Democrat Party!!! Not-too-bright!!!
If urban voters move to fly over country they will discover their patriotic roots.

Trump is going to do a number on the GOPe too if they continue to give him and those who voted him in grief.
And it’s not like the GOPe doesn’t have a good shakin’ up coming. They have been EXTREMELY worthless.
16 years ago people were talking about the GOP having a permanent majority. 8 years ago they were talking about the Dems having one. There are no permanent majority. The mushy middle make up a third of the population and their primary political conviction is that the folks in charge suck, and the longer they’ve been in charge the harder they suck. Guess who’s in charge at the end of the week. The pendulum will swing the other way, it always does.

Probably not as much as they will bring their big government/anti liberty disease with them, at least the first generation.
