While Republicans debate whether to repeal the Affordable Care Act outright or piecemeal, here are a few people they should meet: Paula, 52, a breast-cancer survivor; Namir, 35, with a rare tumor; Cameron, 44, who suffers from Parkinsons; and Jason, 36, fighting a blood infection. They all received lifesaving treatment through ObamaCare; they, and others, will literally interpose their bodies in front of any attempt to reform or repeal it.

Sadly, women are especially vulnerable to this. For too many, you show them one sob story and facts/reason just go out the window.
Dumbocare is dropping my sister and her husband who has MD. Also my friend Debbie who has her own health issues.
Then they cut off Granny’s Pain meds for diseases that have no cures or even treatments. Treat you like a street junkie.
We need President Trump to tweet by anecdote too. Let’s hear about the people who have “coverage” under Obamacare, but it’s so expensive that it hurts them and so difficult to use that they cannot see a real doctor. Let’s hear about the people who would rather pay the fine and then pay for their own care instead of paying for a policy with huge deductibles and crippling copayments.
Anecdotes go both ways, and President Trump needs a staffer whose only job is to find (and CAREFULLY research!) one or two excellent tweets per day on individuals being harmed by Obamacare and one or two per day on individuals being harmed by illegals. Ignore the MSM, and go straight to the people with anecdotes that can tip or at least balance the “narrative”.
Since we are responsible adults, the insurance company never has to pay out anything. So basically we are paying $26,000 a year for catastrophic care insurance.
Thanks Obama.
Generally speaking, men tend to be logical thinkers and women tend to be emotional thinkers. But here is the dirty little secred: Neither is better or worse than the other. They are just different. And each comes with strengths and weaknesses.
And to be clear, yes, men do make emotional decisions all the time and women make logical decisions all the time.
However, you nailed the problem here. Emotion must not enter into something like this. It only gets you into trouble. One must look at where the money is coming from.
BTW, the reason this is so incredibly divisive is that part of the nation puts a great deal of faith in the great healer (Jesus) while a large part of the nation is humanist. It is the latter group that is the problem here. For them, there is no real place for faith.
Interestingly, faith has been my health insurance since 1/1/2014. And that faith has saved me about $45k after tax dollars.

Prove they would not have received care otherwise. (Impossible, I know).
OK, I guess our Obamacare is co-insurance.
You have just stumbled into the reason behind the Nineteenth Amendment. Sad but true.
I bet that is exactly what he will do.
I hear ya! I would be very happy paying out of pocket for routine visits while having catastrophic coverage that’s truly affordable. Maybe I could go skiing again.
;-)
Hey, I’m going skiing next week.
And the only time I fall down is in the lift line, so I stay pretty much injury free, except my pride.
