It takes about an hour and between thirty and forty calls to make them nuke their number.

These calls are routed through the internet to give you a false and usually non-existent caller ID# It does no good to call them back or report them to the phone Co or authorities.

Most of these callers don't use numbers you can even call them back, it will give that message about a non working number. The IRS scam however uses numbers that you CAN call back. I spend many hours behind the wheel, so I have plenty of "spare" time. I keep redialing the IRS butt heads until the number gets disconnected. I have had some very vile conversations with the women that have answered. A couple got every bit as good as a phone sex call.

Very interesting note however. The IRS calls stopped about four months or so ago, right after I saw a story on the news where they busted a big call center somewhere that was doing this scam. I used to get them about once a month.

I love jacking with telemarketers, I used to screw with the guy's selling aluminum siding back forty years ago.
