Knitting Store Owner Tells Women’s March Supporters To Buy Their Yarn Elsewhere
The Huffington Post ^ | 1/26/2017 | Rebecca Shapiro

Things don’t seem so joyful over at The Joy of Knitting. Elizabeth Poe, the owner of the Franklin, Tennessee shop, published a post on her store’s Facebook page earlier this week that asked customers shopping for yarn in support of the Women’s March to take their business elsewhere. “The vulgarity, vile and evilness of this movement is absolutely despicable,” Poe wrote in a post that was shared over 5,000 times and attracted more than 7,000 comments. She added, “As the owner of this business and a Christian, I have a duty to my customers and my community to promote values of mutual respect, love, compassion, understanding, and integrity.”

I normally don't click through to HuffPo, but this was worth it - Christian business owner sends rude, crude customers elsewhere

How long before she’s sued for “intolerance”?

(NO sarcasm tag!)

Uh oh, now she has done it. They are going to come in and if denied service are going to sue her out of business for discrimination. Where is the state’s AG on this one? Hasn’t he got involved to wreck her store yet (assuming the AG is a he).

I would do it differently.

A sign on the door stating “We have wonderful customers of all different backgrounds, religions, and political opinions. This is a politics-free store” might do the trick.

Uh oh, a Christian business owner. Liberals can’t have that, can they?

I would not and did not support the so-called women’s march. While I have a number of reasons, the primary one is I do NOT understand why women aren’t legislating for rapid progress for a male contraceptive effective for a year or longer, why men are not being held equally responsible when an unwanted baby is born, why women haven’t figured out how to avoid rape, why women will not prosecute (with the states’ help) rapists they know, why the Catholic Church (and all churches promoting unlimited breeding) hasn’t stepped up their understanding and why our society has not made it very clear our taxes cannot support slews of abortions and cannot support families with 3 kids or more.

I fail to understand why the onus seems to be on the women and why our society is so keen on promoting irresponsibility.

Aaaaand the comments on the HuffPuffPo are typical ‘tolerant’ Leftist comments. Yep. Leftists tell us exactly who they really are, when confronted with a person who lives her values.

And for a site as women-oriented and liberal as HuffPo is, they still manage to link to sites that let readers know ‘The top 10 things men find attractive in a woman’.

If that isn’t misogynistic, I don’t know what is...

Oh boy, here comes the “bake the damn cake” brigade. They’re going to sue.

Does this woman have a GoFundMe set up yet? She’s going to need one.

And just look what those shoes did for the black community. . . .an aftermath of thuggery, stealing as well as maiming just for a pair. And he goes laughing all the way to the bank.

Exactly! I understand the store owner’s feelings, but she’s cutting off her nose to spite her face.
