Well the bible promises us that as we fix better and better on Jesus (and find the power of Christ accordingly more and more in us) the satanic stuff will greatly recede.
The earth as we have it is the battle zone. It’s pretty much a bible interpretation consensus that “world” means the unbelieving population of the earth. What happens in this battle zone depends a lot on the faith of the believers. Tough faith is tough to get. It needs a “divine boot camp” to really ingrain. I can vouch for that with a chuckle and a yeehaw of victory... Satan kicked my ass every which way but loose from my salvation... I wondered why... now I see it, God wanted a spiritual tough guy and He’s getting it (though OH! it hurts on the way).
